Girl In A Coma in Concert

The San Antonio trio has left a permanent tattoo on the hearts of thousands with their piercing songs and nuclear performances. An Evening of Brazilian Music with Forró Brazuca

Often dubbed “music for maids and taxi drivers,” forró combines romantic and humorous lyricism with the energy of a dancehall party. Under the leadership of accordionist Francelino Alves, this San Francisco-based quartet of Brazilians packs dance floors with their forró, xote, and rastapé grooves. An Evening of Traditional Chinese Music with Weishan Liu

Music Performance/MCC Theater
Ms. Weishan Liu, one of the world leading Guzheng virtuosos, will perform traditional, classical, and regional Chinese music. She will be joined by members of the San Francisco Guzheng Society and Alan Yip on the Guqin. Ms. Liu has performed internationally and has collaborated with various artists in the U.S. such as George Winston, the Women’s Philharmonic Orchestra, Diana Stork on the Harp Festival, Ultra World X-tet Jazz Group, and the World Music Festival.
